Since 1991, his unmistakable style has left a clear mark on the fabric of urban art – characterised by architectural structures, typographic elements, abstract formal language and three-dimensional letter constructions. His work is characterised by a continuous search for new forms of expression in typographic design.

In addition to his typographically characterised formal language, ShogunOne repeatedly integrates figurative and illustrative elements into his works. These targeted influences expand his visual repertoire and create exciting contrasts without interrupting the conceptual clarity of his visual language.

Despite his diverse portfolio, ShogunOne pursues a clearly recognisable, continuously developed and independent visual language. This gives his works a high degree of recognisability and conceptual depth – regardless of medium, location or context.

In over three decades of creative work, ShogunOne has travelled to numerous cities and continents and collaborated with national and international artists. His projects have taken him to Florence, Miami, Zurich, Tokyo, Hanoi, Milan and Granada, among others. He has developed various styles such as the ‘Machine Style’, which is characterised by constructed, architectural and abstract forms, and the ‘Spaceship Style’, which combines galactic, three-dimensional and technological elements.

In addition to his artistic work, ShogunOne also works as a communication designer and creative director. His work has been featured in numerous digital and print publications. He is also a co-founder of the international artist collective LJDA, which has been active for over 25 years (with around 70 members from Spain/Germany/Switzerland/France/USA).
